The Truth About Football Today

The truth about football today and when my love for it came into my life! My love for football came later in life. I can remember as a child I didn’t like football or basketball to be honest I didn’t like sports. It wasn’t until high school that I really found my love for the sport! At the time Missouri had two teams the Kansas City Chiefs and the St Louis Rams. I am more of a state guy myself and at that time I was just learning the game.

The Rams were on top but there was luxury in having two teams in our state. While the Rams were the greatest show on the turf the Chiefs were struggling. And then the Unthinkable happens and we lost the Rams to Los Angeles. Let me make it clear the Chiefs always made their mark in the league. I mean they have yielded some of the league’s very best like Derrick Thomas #58, Neil Smith #90, Priest Homes #31, all of which are legends and the list goes on Tony Gonzales #88, Marcus Allen #32…

I mean come on!

Sorry, I got a bit off, let us just say we have had our days and it was rough considering all the names I just mentioned are Hall of Famers. We lived through the Matt Cassells and anybody else who could just play fundamental football.

And then Andy Reid comes to town and he brings with him Alex Smith #11. This is when things begin to change. See we go through life thinking that things will remain a certain way because time after time you see no results. But now Andy Reid brought Alex Smith #11 and grabbed a big tight end with hands you would think was made by an AI, Travis Kelce #87!

And He Went To Work

We began to hear a pulse. For four years Andy shaped and molded and he shaped and molded some more. When the time came for him to grab the final piece to his puzzle, He did. He jumped up in the draft several spots and grabbed the now King of the Kingdom! Patrick Mahomes #15 and the rest is history still being written.

Now I could leave you with that but we are gonna speak a bit more on Patrick Mahomes #15 and Travis kelce #87 and their Dynamic Duo. So we have all heard of Troy Aikman #8 and Jay Novacek #84, Trent Green #10, and Tony Gonzales #88, or how about Tom Brady #12 and Rob Gronkowski #87 all legend duos but not quite like Patrick Mahomes #15 and Travis Kelce #87. Between these two the combination is light years ahead of any Quarter Back to Wide Receiver in the NFL tight today!

Travis Kelce

He holds the most consecutive 1000 yards seasons by a tight end with 7. Might I add that he also owns the most receiving yards in a single season… EVER! Despite only playing 15 games in 2020.

Patrick Mahomes

And then there is “Show time Mahomes” who holds the second for most total yards in a season by a quarterback. This includes rushing and passing totaling 5,608 yards. YES the QB.

All in all the bottom line is that these two here Mahomes and Kelce are one DYNAMINC DUO and if you have any appreciation for football the game itself you give the respect hands down. The bottom line 2 rings and the Current NFL Champions Speak for themselves.
